Grooming maintains a healthy coat Cleaning and brushing away all that dead skin and buildup will do wonders to your dog’s hygiene and smell. Matted hair left untreated can grow large and pull aggressively on the skin.
Nails that grow too long can be uncomfortable for your dog to walk on. Over time, they may change their posture to accommodate longer nails. This will create larger problems if left untreated. Arthritis, bone deformations, and bad posture are just some of the ailments that can occur from leaving your dog’s nails too long.
If you start going to a groomer regularly, they will become familiar with your dog. This will allow them to notice any abnormalities that arise. These could include bumps and lumps that you’ve perhaps missed during a brushing session. Detecting these issues early on is key in stopping the spread of any serious condition.
Regardless of your dog’s breed or hair length, taking your dog to the groomer to get washed and brushed will help with the condition and quality of their coat. Just brushing alone helps to remove dead skin, dirt and anything else lurking. It also helps to spread the natural oils over their coat, making it appear shinier and healthier.
Getting rid of the gunk and buildup in your dog’s ears is important for preventing any ear infections. In addition, your groomer will be able to trim lengthier hairs, which could cause further issues. Ear infections are a leading cause of canine hearing loss, so getting their ears checked regularly will help to maintain their hearing for many years to come.
One of the main benefits of regular grooming is that your dog will look and feel their best! As a responsible owner, you want your pup to thrive. Regularly grooming will allow them to do this. It’s recommended that you take your dog to the groomers every 6-8 weeks depending on their coat growth.
Proper and frequent grooming is important to the health and well-being of your pet. There are many benefits of regular grooming sessions including: odor control, matt prevention, controlled shedding, and improved skin/coat condition. Your pet will look and feel amazing after their appointment and you will want to show them off.
Our salon uses a variety of shampoos, conditioners and texturizers. If you have a product or a prescription shampoo please bring it with you and I will use it at no extra charge. I do not use any extreme measures to control your pet. I do not give them “medication” to relax them. The only control is the love and patience of our groomers.
I know you don’t love leaving your pet, but sometimes it has to happen. With my boarding program, you can be rest assured that I will step in and shower your pet with love and affection until you get back! I will quickly learn your pet’s daily routine, taking them for walks, administering medications, cleaning them and providing just the right amount of TLC.

Hello my name is Octavia and I love animals but especially dogs! I’ve had 8 chihuahuas throughout my life and each one has played a special part in my life. I love to spend time petting my chihuahua , and I’m happiest when my Chi and I snuggle! She is such a good girl! I’ve also trained my dog to perform several tricks and would be happy to work with your dog if you’d like! I started my journey of professional dog sitting and dog grooming over 4 years ago with rover.com and have decided to start a fulltime business dog sitting and pampering pets. I’m available 24/7 all week long! My yard is fenced so it’s very safe here and a great place for dogs to have some fun. I’m happy to accommodate if your dog has special dietary requirements and I keep a bowl with water in every room in the house. I believe that the relationship between humans and dogs is a gift and I’m happy to be able to share this with all dogs! I hope to see you soon!

“Highly recommend Oktawia for your dog sitting! She is so loving with the dogs, and I received updates and a picture everyday! This was the first time I used Rover, and I’m happy we found her.”
“Oktawia was great with Chico. In the daily photos she sent, he was very content (not stressed). In addition to the photos, Oktawia also provided how Chico was doing daily. Her sincere care for my dog also made it easier for me so I do not have to worry about Chico!”
“Oktawia was very kind and welcoming to us. She kept us up to date with his status and sent us pictures of him everyday! We will definitely go to her again in the future (:”
